Residential mental health treatment for teens, in Las Vegas.

Silver State Adolescent Treatment Center treats young people aged 11 to 17 — anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm and emotional dysregulation, with substance use addressed alongside when it is part of the picture.

If you are a parent or guardian trying to work out what your child needs, call. Someone who does this every day will talk it through with you — including whether Silver State is the right place, or whether somewhere else is.

Is this the right place

Two quick questions before you call.

You do not have to be sure. If the answer is no on either count, the same call will point you somewhere that fits — we would rather do that than take an admission that is wrong for your child.

Question one

Is your child between 11 and 17?

Silver State is adolescents only. For an adult — including an 18-year-old — Virtue Recovery Center's Las Vegas team is the right call instead.

Question two

Is the main problem their mental health?

Silver State treats mental health first, with substance use handled alongside it. If drugs or alcohol are the primary problem rather than part of it, say so on the call and we will find the right level of care for that.

What they treat

Mental health first, substance use alongside.

Most parents call in the middle of something — a self-harm discovery, a suicide attempt, months of a child who is not recognizable any more. These are the conditions Silver State is built around.

What a stay involves

Supervised, structured, and you stay involved.

Residential care, with a discharge and aftercare plan built before your child leaves rather than on the day they do.

24/7 supervision

Clinical and medical staff on site day and night, in a setting designed for adolescents rather than adults.

Identity-affirming care

LGBTQIA+ affirming care is part of how every teen is treated here, not a separate track or an add-on.

Family therapy

Parents and guardians are part of the treatment, not visitors to it. Family sessions are core to the approach.

School continues

On-site education support so your child does not come home a term behind on top of everything else.

Trauma-informed throughout

Staff are trained to work with trauma histories, which is often what sits underneath the behavior that prompted your call.

A plan for afterwards

Discharge and aftercare planning, so there is a real next step in place when residential care ends.
