Family and loved ones

You can call before they are ready.

A parent, a partner, a sibling, an adult child. You usually do not have the insurance card, are not certain what is being used, and are afraid that raising it will turn into a fight.

If you are calling for someone else

You can verify coverage on their behalf, ask what a first conversation should sound like, and find out what would actually happen if they said yes. Knowing the answers before you raise it changes how that conversation goes.

Find yourself here

Some situations change what treatment needs to look like.

Everyone gets the same clinical backbone. What differs for these groups is what sits alongside it, and in one case which state you would be treated in.

Warriors Path, founded at Killeen

Veterans and service members

Substance use treated alongside what usually comes with service: trauma, chronic pain, sleep that stopped working years ago. VA Community Care authorizations and TriWest referrals.

Clinical staff who served themselves, which tends to change the first conversation more than people expect.

Confidentiality, at every location

Working professionals

The fear is rarely the treatment. It is the licence, the practice, the job, and whether getting help costs you the thing you have spent years building.

Raise it on the first call. Confidentiality, and what an employer would or would not learn, are questions we answer directly rather than deflect.

Texas only, Killeen and Houston

Pregnant patients

Pregnancy is accepted at our two Texas facilities, up to a defined stage. Our Arizona, Nevada and Oregon locations do not admit pregnant patients.

Call early rather than late. The gestational limit is real, and the sooner you call the more options there are.

Special considerations

Conditions we treat alongside substance use.

Whichever of these is your situation, call. An assessment is how anyone finds out what actually fits, and it costs you one conversation.

Mental health conditions

Anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD and bipolar are treated in the same plan as the substance use, by the same team. If you are not certain substance use is part of your picture, call and an assessment will tell you.

Gambling and behavioural addictions

Gambling, gaming and similar compulsions are treated where they sit alongside substance use. There is often more in the picture than people expect, so call and let the assessment sort it out.

If they are under 18

We treat adults 18 and over, and Silver State Adolescent Treatment Center in Las Vegas is our sister brand for ages 11 to 17. Call us anyway and we will route you straight to their admissions team.

In a medical emergency call 911. For a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988. Veterans and service members can reach the Veterans Crisis Line at 988, then press 1.

Before you call

Four things worth raising on the first call.

None of them are disqualifiers. They are what shapes the plan.

  • If you served, VA Community Care and TriWest are handled differently from a commercial plan
  • If you are pregnant, the gestational limit affects which facility and how soon
  • If a licence or an employer is involved, ask about confidentiality directly
  • If you are calling for someone else, say so and we will take it from there

Do you treat teenagers or anyone under 18?
Virtue Recovery Center treats adults 18 and over. Silver State Adolescent Treatment Center in Las Vegas is our sister brand, providing residential mental health treatment for ages 11 to 17. If you are calling about someone younger, call us anyway and tell us early — we will route you straight to their admissions team, or to another adolescent service if that is the better fit. You will get a real answer either way.
I am calling about my son, my husband, my sister. Can you help me?
Yes, and it is one of the most common kinds of call we take. You can verify their insurance without them present, ask what a first conversation should sound like, and find out what would actually happen if they agreed to go. Knowing the answers before you raise it tends to change how that conversation goes.
Do you have a program for veterans?
Yes. Warriors Path is our veteran and service member programming, founded at our Killeen facility next to Fort Cavazos. It treats substance use alongside trauma, chronic pain and the other things that commonly come with service, and we work with VA Community Care authorizations and TriWest referrals. If you or a veteran you know is in crisis, the Veterans Crisis Line is 988, then press 1.
Do you accept pregnant patients?
At our two Texas facilities, Killeen and Houston, up to a defined stage of gestation. Our Arizona, Nevada and Oregon locations do not admit pregnant patients. Because the gestational limit is real, calling earlier rather than later meaningfully affects how many options you have.
I am a professional with a licence to protect. Will treatment put my career at risk?
It is one of the most common fears we hear, and it is worth raising directly on the first call rather than worrying about it privately. Confidentiality, what an employer would or would not learn, and how licensing situations are typically handled are all things our admissions team will talk through with you honestly.
Do you treat mental health conditions alongside substance use?
Yes, and in the same plan by the same team. Anxiety, depression, PTSD and bipolar are treated with the substance use rather than referred out or postponed. If you are not certain whether substance use is part of your picture at all, call and let an assessment tell you — there is often more going on than people expect, and if a dedicated mental health provider turns out to be the better fit we will help you find one.
Do you treat gambling or other behavioural addictions?
Yes, where they sit alongside substance use, and that combination is more common than people expect. Gambling, gaming and similar compulsions are treated as part of the plan. Call and an assessment will tell you what fits; if a specialist provider turns out to be the better answer, we will help you find one.
